MURUD BEACH

Sea conch resort is situated right at the beach with a direct entrance to it and is situated at the convenient EPI-centre of heavenly beaches and many divine spots at close distance to accomplice fulfilling experience.

One of the most popular beaches in Dapoli, Murud is a long flat beach with the Suvarnadurg fort looming in the horizons on the northern side and the vast expanse of sandy beach extending upto Karde and further towards its south. The Durga Devi temple right at the start of the way leading to Maharshi Karve beach or the Murud beach is one of the most important temples in this part of Dapoli and is a must see during a visit to Murud. Murud, a small seacoast village, located about 12 km from Dapoli, named after one of the greatest visionaries the nation has seen to date, the Murud beach or the Maharshi Karve Beach, is a vast expanse of flat sandy beach. A very popular beach with bird watchers around our resort. Murud beach is hub for water sports activities like parasailing, banana rides, Ski Jet scooters, Bumper rides, Dolphin watching rides etc. are just few steps away from our resort. You will also find many people having fun riding their bikes and cars on the Murud beach. We also arranged surfing trainings if trainer is available.

Karde Beach

The distance from Sea conch resort to karde beach is 10 mins.

Karde beach is also a typical Dapoli beach with a thin film of white sand covering the underlying black sand giving it a very romantic appeal. Karde is the destination if you are looking for a quite romantic weekend.

Karde Beach is also a popular weekend gateway like Murud beach. The extensive stretch of golden shore lined with Suru trees is perfect for relaxing long strolls, the sunsets, while the ocean is famous for swimming, boating and dolphin spotting. The secluded attraction is perfect for those looking for a tranquil escape or for some soul-searching.

Ladgarh Beach

Distance from Sea Conch Resort to Ladgarh beach is 15 mins.

Ladghar is a small stretch of beach to the south of the rocky hillock which separates it from Karde. Ladghar extends onto Burundi - a small fishing hamlet to its south. The attraction also has some religious importance due to the presence of the ancient Dutta Mandir. The beautiful beach is also known as Tamas Teertha because of the red colour it has in most of the areas by the shoreline.

Parshuram Bhumi

Distance from Sea Conch to Parshuram Bhumi is 40 mins.

The place where the statue is located is known as parshuram bhumi and is visited by many tourists all the year round.

Lord parshuram statue is located on a mountain in burondi and is popular as parshuram bhumi. the statue is 21 feet tall and rests on a ‘half-globe’ shaped construction which is 40 feet in diameter.

Kolthare Beach

Distance from Sea Conch Resort to Ladgarh beach is 1 hour.

Kolthare Beach is an unspoiled attraction perfect for beach and nature lovers. Located in Kolthare Village, it is known for an ancient temple dedicated to Lord Shiva and tranquillity all through the stretch. Those looking to escape the crowded vacation spots will find Kolthare beach a perfect attraction.

Keshavraj

Distance from Sea Conch Resort to Ladgarh beach is 10 mins.

Keshavraj is situated between Dapoli and Asud Pul (Bridge). You can access it via Dabkewadi after which you cross a small river.

There is steep climb where you are greeted with the fresh water which is said to have been coming from a tree trunk and is present all days of the year. The Keshavraj idol is a must see.

Trek to Keshavraj begins from a village called Asud. It's a tiny village of 15-20 families situated around 7 kms. from Dapoli and 5 km from our resort.

Kadyavarcha Ganapati

Distance from Sea Conch to Kadyavarcha ganpati temple is 40 mins.

It was famous for its wooden carvings on its pillars. The temple is at hilly location surrounded by few beautiful beaches. Anjarles’s Kadyavarcha Ganesh temple is located at one of the best scenic places as one can feel the lush green mountains, sea with coconut and betel nut trees and a beautiful ancient Suvarnadurg fort view from there. It was first constructed with wood in 1150AD and then reconstructed between 1768-1780 and again in the 1900s. It is particularly known for the right-side placement of the Ganesha's idol which means its trunk curves towards right side (Ujwya Sondecha Ganpati or right-trunked Ganpati) which is rare. The Ganpati temple situated on the cliff near the sea, hence called Kadyavarcha Ganpati.

Anjarle Beach

DISTANCE FROM SEA CONCH RESORT TO ANJARLE BEACH IS 40 MINS

Anjarle has two kilometres long stretch of clean beach with a cover of white sand and is surrounded by coconut trees. Anjarle beach is located near the estuary of river Jog.

Murud PORT

Distance from Sea Conch Resort to Murud port is 15 min.

Murud port is the main fishing village. Every evening hundreds of fishing boats come back after fishing and gather to auction their catch. The fish auction is the essential trade step between fish landings and the trade. Witnessing the fish auctions here is an inspiring experience and you could also hitch a ride in a bullock cart here.

UNHAVARE HOT SPRINGS

Distance from Sea Conch to Unhavare hot spring is 43 Km.

Unhavare hot springs are situated in Unhavare Village which is 33 km from Dapoli and 45 Km from our resort. The hot springs are rich in sulphur which is said to be good for skin diseases.

This place is located bit far from Dapoli and it takes about 1.5 hours to reach this remote place. There are small hot springs in this area which are known to cure skin ailments. The place is rarely crowded, and one should visit this place specially in winter.

PANHALKAJI CAVES

Panhalekaji is about 35 Kms from Dapoli and 47 km from our resort, over 1.5 hour drive.

The Panhalakaji caves are located on the Dapoli-Dabhil Pangari road. The road goes right up to the caves. It is situated deep in the valleys and is surrounded by jungle and river which are filled with birds and reptiles.

Discovered in 1970 Panhalekaji is a complex of 29 caves filled with exquisite art value and many sculptures around with respect to architecture and quality of craftmanship. These Buddhist caves have a few inscriptions in Brahmi and Devanagari and remnants of statues from 3 AD and the is the best place for a history buff of adventure enthusiast.

Representations of Matsyendranatha, Adinatha and Uma are there inside cave number 29. This cave also hosts sculptures of Goraknatha and Maha-Tripurasundari. Different panels inside this cave show various figures. Small panels in this cave have 84 Siddhas. Buddhist stupa from the 3rd century AD is in cave number 5.

Chandikadevi Temple

Believed to be from the Pandav era the swayambhu Chandika Devi temple housed within a small underground cave is located on the Dabhol-Dapoli road about 27 kms from Dapoli. Housed within a small cave without electrical lights, lit up by 'samayis' is the idol of Chandika devi .The festival of Navaratri is celebrated in a big way at the temple. During the celebration, thousands of people come from different parts of the state to see the diety.

Chandikadevi Temple is about 42 Kms from our resort.
